Welcometo Black Stone Drums, the Native American inspired drum and artwork creations of Steve and Vicki Trout, now located in beautiful Tubac, Arizona.
Established in 1994, Black Stone Drums, featuring the artwork of Vicki Trout, has hand crafted over 8500 drums, as well as numerous other pieces. The drums, created by Steve Trout, are hand crafted from various woods and natural hides. A natural artist, Vicki Trout's talents include not only the beautiful hand painted drum artwork, but artifact reproduction, and two dimensional works as well.
As Vicki needed a drum to paint, way back in '94, the first drums were created solely as a means to an end. Gentle persuasion and encouragement soon paved the way for the creation of Black Stone Drums. Today, as in the beginning, the goal of Black Stone Drums is to create the finest drum of its kind.

Since 1994, non-native american artists Steve & Vicki Trout have created their native american inspired pieces to the following criteria of quality and honesty:
"If it isn't good enough for a native, it isn't good enough"
"If it isn't good enough to sign your name on, do better"
"Just be who you are."
